Date: 26-03-2026
The
Department of PG.Commerce organized an industrial visit (II M.COM-13 Students
and two staff members) to the Milma Milk Industry as part of their academic
curriculum. The primary objective of this visit was to provide practical
exposure to students regarding the functioning of a dairy industry. During the
visit, the students gained valuable insights into milk processing, quality
control, packaging, and distribution systems. The industry experts explained
various operational procedures, which enhanced the students’ understanding of
real-time business practices and management concepts.
In
addition to the industrial visit, the students also had the opportunity to
explore nearby tourist destinations such as Sambranikodi, Trivandrum
(Thiruvananthapuram), and Kovalam. These places are well known for their
natural beauty, cultural significance, and eco-tourism value. The visit helped
students appreciate the importance of tourism in economic development and
environmental sustainability.
The
trip provided a balanced combination of education and recreation. While the
industrial visit enriched their academic knowledge, the sightseeing activities
offered relaxation and enjoyment. Students experienced the scenic beauty of
beaches, landscapes, and local culture, making the journey both informative and
memorable.
Overall,
the visit was highly beneficial, as it enhanced students’ industry-related
knowledge and broadened their perspective on eco-tourism. It also encouraged
teamwork, interaction, and learning beyond the classroom environment, making it
a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all participants.
