The
Department of Zoology, Nesamony Memorial Christian College, Marthandam,
celebrated Teacher’s Day on 03 September 2026 at 2.40 p.m. in the Zoology Lab.
The programme was organized to express gratitude and appreciation for the
dedicated services of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the department.
The
programme began with a prayer song rendered by Pratheeba, S. and Archana, A. S.
of III B.Sc. Zoology. This was followed by the Presidential Address delivered
by Dr. A. Premjith Jinham, Head of the Department, who highlighted the
importance of teachers in shaping the academic and personal development of
students.
A
Teachers’ Day Address was delivered by Ms. A. S. Prakshitha Banu of III B.Sc.
Zoology, which highlighted the importance of teachers in shaping the academic,
personal and moral development of students and emphasized the valuable role
played by teachers in guiding students towards a successful future.
As
part of the Teachers’ Day celebration, gifts were presented to both the
teaching and non-teaching staff members of the Department of Zoology as a token
of love, respect and gratitude for their valuable contributions and support.
The celebration
continued with a cake-cutting ceremony. The Head of the Department, Dr. A.
Premjith Jinham, cut the cake and distributed it to all the students, making
the occasion a joyful and memorable one for everyone. The programme concluded
with a class-wise photo session, during which photographs were taken with the
students of each class along with the faculty members.
